GE Shipping inducted its fourth Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) named 'Malaviya Twenty' in its fleet. Capable of catering to deep water oil fields, the vessel was built at the Brattvaag yard in Norway. Currently there are only four PSVs operating under Indian flag and GE Shipping is the proud owner of all of them. With improving prospects of exploration and production activities, and to meet the changing requirements of clients induction of the said vessel will offer wider opportunities to the company.
After delivery of 'Malaviya Twenty' the Company's fleet stands at 71 vessels viz. 39 ships and 32 offshore vessels. The Company has twelve newbuilding vessels on order comprising 6 tankers (aggregating 0.51 Mn dwt) and 6 Offshore Support Vessels with deliveries scheduled at intermittent intervals between September 2004 to September 2007. |
